Born in Kingston Jamaica, Mr. Pike spent most of his earlier years in a place known as the concrete jungle. These were very humble beginnings as he grew up in a multi family home ( tenement yard) , with his grandmother as his main overseer. Rory learned the value of hard work at a very young age, as he watched his grandmother worked three jobs, or more at times, just to take care of the household. He later got to spend some time with his aunties, and eventually he got to live with his mother, Nadine.

Mr. Pike’s love for music began at a very early age. Growing up, he was always listening to everything, from the old American classics such as, “when a man loves a woman”, to the versatile reggae hits like “redemption songs”. His musical influences includes Bob Marley, Berres Hammond, Bounty Killa, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Billy Joel, Elton John, Biggie Smalls and Jay Z, just to name a few.

Mr. Pike migrated to the U.S. in 1996 to live with his mom, and that’s where he met Gregory James. These two were as different as can be, but they shared a mutual respect for each other, and a tremendous love for music. They joined forces with four fellow Jamaicans who possessed some great musical talents, and they formed a reggae crew by the name of NYCE CREW. During these exciting yet humble beginnings one of their songs made it to the big screen playing in the soundtrack of the movie “Phat Girls”, staring Monique. Rory’s verse actually got played in the movie, so that was an exciting moment in his career. Mr. Pike met a young lady by the name of Tasha in New York, and she would later become his wife. They moved to Atlanta in 2005, in search of a better life for themselves and their children.
